The Wilmington Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society was chartered in 1967. We have meetings in March, May and October and produce our own chapter newsletter. Our signature event each year is the "Super Saturday Trolley Charter" on SEPTA in Philadelphia. On the first Saturday in October we provide train hosts for the Hurlock Fall Festival train trips in Hurlock, MD. We have sponsored doodlebug and steam-powered mixed trains over the Wilmington & Western Railroad, and a photo freight on the West Chester Railroad as well as other Delaware/Philadelphia-area rail lines. |
